I've seen people use VPN connections to access work computers from home but I was wondering if you can setup a VPN Network on your home computer, so you can access it remotely. Basically, what I'm saying is, is there a way to setup a VPN to your home computer so you can access your own home computer remotely. I'm pretty sure XP Pro has this capability, but I'm not sure how to set it up for my home computer. I was wondering if anyone has any directions for me or knows where I can get directions to set this up.

This can be easily done but it depens on a lot of things.

Do you use a router or a modem at home?
Do you have a firewall configured at home?
Where will you be connecting from, is it enabled to let outgoing VPN connections?

Thanks
Gary

Yeah, I have a router and a firewall configured. And any computer with XP can allow outgoing VPN connections.

You can also use Remote Desktop to gain access while away.
