VPN connection

I am dialling up to the internet using a modem, then connecting to a VPN server. This connects successfully. However, when I try and ping the the PC's of the VPN, I am trying to remotely connect to, I get a timeout repsonse.

When I checked the ipconfig of the machine through which I am connecting, IP routing is not enabled, could this be my problem ?

I have tried on a diffent PC with a modem, and it connects and pings fine, so it seems to be a configuration issue. This PC also has Ip routing enabled.
Any information towards a solution, greatly appreciated.
