My SBS server have IP 192.168.0.XXX range.
Use Netgear Router and have allowed inbound rule for VPN. I also have enabled RAS on SPS but am unable to connect to router public IP address to connect to my SBS. My router has a dymanic IP address assigned by ISP.

What else should I be checking to enable VPN connection to office network?

Any ideas anyone? I'm new to VPN setups.
Also the SBS has a single NIC setup without ISA.

What is providing the VPN service you are trying to connect to, the server or the router? Or perhaps you haven't set that part up yet?

What model of Netgear router are you using?
I assume you mean you have enabled RAS on your SBS server.
What did you do to enable RAS, and how do you know it's functioning?
What are you using to attempt your connection, did you install a VPN client, are you using the Windows XP VPN connection wizard?
What configuration information are you entering into the VPN program, an FQDN for a server?, an IP address?

Netgear DG834GT. I allowed inbound connection on VPN port.
Yes I have enabled RAS on SBS
Well I enabled it with default settings and checked user is in mobile user group I'm using XP VPN connection I used the public dynamically assigned IP of the router. The server has 192.168.0.xx IP and router LAN IP is 192.168.0.1.
SBS has .local name so it cant be resolved from the internet.
Single NIC setup on SBS

Some feeback regarding my testing:

I ran the remote access wizard on SBS to enable VPN and did not configure any RAS on SBS. On my Netgear router I have enabled VPN port 1723 to forward requests to our internal SBS box. I can now establish a VPN connection from outside but is there any other security settings I need to change in order to secure this connection? The only security policy that seems to be in place is that users must belong to the mobile users group and they must supply their domain login details.
My main reason to connect to the SBS box from home is to access our SQL database data. But is there any other benefits having this VPN connection except for remote desktop?
