My company has set up a VPN to connect to a remote Oracle database. It is my reponsibility to be able to connect and query from the database.(I'm am new to this) Can anyone tell me what software/information I am going to need to accomplish this?

The company that owns the DB that you are connecting into should be able to give you that info. After all, What kind of VPN server is being used?? Cisco, CP, Netscreen, etc Whoever set up the VPN should be able to give you that info.

Thanks for the input! However I'm talking to the company tomorrow, I would just like to know what questions to ask so that I don't look completely incompetant (which I'm starting to think I am.) You started me off there, with "What kind of VPN server is being used". You have any more?
