Hi There,

I'll try to do my best to explain my scenario.

I have a Cisco 1841 which handles all internet access (and soon handle VPN traffic), and a Checkpoint VPN appliance which currently handles VPN traffic and internet access for a couple of servers.

Cisco 1841 - 192.168.1.15
Checkpoint - 192.168.1.254
VPN subnet - 192.168.254.x

Up until recently the two routers have been on the same subnet and have quite happily co-existed functioning individually. Now is the time in whch the traffic must be able to communicate with each other.

I am more than happy to separate the subnets and put the Checkpoint router on, say, a 192.168.25.x network but I need to know how to route traffic to and from resources behind them. I.e. VPN clients need to be able to access resources behind the Cisco router.

I am possibly over complicating the situation but need a kick in the right direction.

Thanks!

static route on the check point? that is a layer 3 device, should do routing

This is where I am lost, especially since they are on the same subnet.

What would source/destination/hop be?

They would know how to route by virtue of being directly connected, if I am reading you correctly...

E: Couldn't find package windows...Thank Goodness!

That's just it, traffic isn't being routed correctly and I can see in the logs that it's being blocked due to spoofing.
