Im setting up a SonicWall TZ 210, when I VPN in via the global von client, I receive a DHCP address as setup in the TZ 210, but I am not getting the correct default gateway address. The gateway address it gives me is the same address it assigns me as my IP address. The gateway should be 10.137.0.1, I get assigned an IP address of 10.137.0.138, and when I do an ipconfig /all it shows me my gateway address is also 10.137.0.138.

Any ideas?

Is it working?

Do you have it configured for tunnel all mode?

Go to and see if you are getting for your public IP address. Is it your remote public IP or is it the WAN IP of your 210?

I believe that is how it is supposed to be.

I dont get anything because I cant get out to the internet when the vpn tunnel is connected.

The TZ210 always assigns your same host address as your gateway. Do you have "WAN Remote Access Networks" allowed in your VPN user profile? Also make sure the VPN subnet is diffrent than your LAN subnet.

Yes, WAN remote access networks is allowed, and the VPN is a different subnet then my LAN.
