I'm running XP home edition with a DI-713p (DLINK) router and using SNET/SBC DSL as my ISP. When I start the Cisco VPN 3.5 client it does not connect. If I by pass the router and hook the DSL modem directly to my PC and start the VPN client it works fine.

The router supports IPSec. My guess is that there maybe an MTU problem. The router's MTU is set to 1492. What is the client's default MTU? Should I set the router and client to a lower level like 1452?

Your help is apppreciated.

What protocol are you using on the PIX for IPSec? AH or ESP? AH is incompatible with NAT, which could explain why it works without the router, but not with.
