VPN Can't connect outside the router

I can connect during testing while plugged into the network with the laptop, but from outside the physical location, it can't connect. I am new at this, any help is appreciated.
I am guessing more info is required so I thought it best that I'm told what info is required first... thank you in advance.

We need more information to help. Have you opened port 1723 for the VPN? Or these search results may help,
