I'm trying to set up a VPN from my home using a Linksys BEFVP41 to a Netgear FVS318 at the office. The session starts to initialize and then stops I'm not sure what I did wrong since the two routers have different configurations. Here are the logs.

I have changed the Macs to protect privacy and hid parts of the IPs also.

Any help would be appreciated.

I am having the same issue. I will be doing some testing and if I get an answer I will let you know.

I have just setup a tunnel from the netgear to the linksys. I connected just fine. The part I found confusing is the Local IPSec Identifier and Remote IPSec Identifier, witch the Linksys does not have. So I used 0.0.0.0 in both on the FVS318, this worked.
If this helps please let me know as I am going to be setting up the Linksys later to connect to the Netgear at a later date.

Thanks, but I figured it out yesterday. You are on the right track. My connection has been fine now for over 24 hours. I'm still trying to link my Symantec VPN appliance to either router...

Hey, I'm trying to set up a VPN between my wireless Linksys to an FVS318. I thought I had to create an IPSEC policy on my computer (WinXP) and enable IPSEC pass through on the router, but that's not working. How did you configure the linksys? Any help is GREATLY appreciated. Thanks!
