Currently my organization has a VPN straight open tunnel between our main office and a branch office. Neither location has a server, both offices have a peer to peer network running. What do we need to do to be able to see the machines on each other's network? I know that without having a WINS server we will not be able to actually browse the other network, but we should be able to connect to an individual PC, right? Thanks in advance for any help.

Have you tried going to Run from the Start menu and typing in \\ip.address (replacing 'ip.address' with an actual ip address of a computer on your network) and hitting enter?

That helps, a window pops up asking for a user name and password.
