I have a Win Server 2003 environment with a SonicWall VPN client for my remote users (WinXP Professional on laptop or desktops). One user wants to work WiFi cafes.
She is able to launch and log into the SonicWall VPN successfully, and is able to access the Internet.
When she attempts to remote access a computer or a server on the network, she is getting an error about security. Unfortunately, she doesn't know the wording on the error.
I did not setup the SonicWall nor VPN clients. When I attempted this at a cafe, I could not get the SonicWall to connect at all (this is a laptop that I use to remote).
Is there something inherent in the security of the SonicWall or a switch that will allow remote users to VPN and then Remote? I need to give a couple remote users this type of access due to vacations and such. I think it is probably a BIG security risk to the network...
I appreciate any help/suggestions/thoughts.
Thank you!
Teri
