I recently changed my work office
I used to be able to vpn to my home network that has vpn set up on a winxp box. I was always able to remote to any of my home pc's once i got connected to the vpn.
Now it seems that the office that i am in now uses the same ipscope as i do the 192.168.1 range. So i am thinking that when i put in the ip of one of my pc's rdp does not understand that i want it to connect to my pc and not search the local network for the ip.
I am able to VPN to my home network just fine, but when i try to use Remote Desktop i get an error saying could not connect.
This is not a firewall issue as i can rdp to other pc's outside of the network, but not to one in the 192 scope at my home vpn.
Ideas ? Thanks

You pegged it. It is trying to connect using the local LAN. You need a seperate network scheme for your home. I like to choose something that will not overlap with most offices - 192.168.[255>#>100].0 /24 usually does the trick.
So at home I might use 192.168.237.0 255.255.255.0.
