VPN and net use security

I have a user who was connecting happily to the company network over a VPN and we were using the net use command to connect here to company drives.

Having changed her DSL router to a wireless DSL router, when the net use command runs she is now asked to put in her username and password.

This is annoying enough but if she puts in her username and password, the command terminates saying user unknown, but if she puts in the network admin username and password, she is connected?

Can anyone give me a clue as to what might be going on as I can't figure this one out!

Phil

does she use the same domain username and password logon VPN client? if yes but doesn't work when using net use, try this net use \\servername /u:username. Hopefully, the client (if it is w2k/xp) will cache the credentials for next connection.

If only life was that simple Robert. The problem is that if we change the batch file to put her username in automatically, the batch file terminates and the mapping fails. Only if we put in the administrators username will it connect, but if we do that, the conenction between outlook and exchange goes bonkers!

It was all working in its current configuration for about two weeks before this behaviour started.
