VPN and internet access

I have an employee that connects to our server remotely thru VPN (Windows 2000 Server). When she is connected she is using our bandwidth while surfing the internet. (Basically all her internet traffic is routing thru our server than to hers).

How do we set it up so, if she's surfing the internet, it utilizes her internet connection, and our connection is only used for thr VPN stuff (using network files programs, etc...)

What you want is called "Split Tunnelling". It is setup differently depending upon the VPN client you are using. Some are client configured (if using Built In VPN), others are server controlled.

Sounds like you are using the built in windows VPN client, if so then goto the connection properties, in one of the tabs is the option to "Use Default Remote Gateway", un-select this.
