Hi Gurus,

I have a requirement for my company to give access to an application consultant guy and it seems that he is not an AIX person and i want, before giving this access, to make sure that he won't mess around with this production server (as we have the test DB and the production on the same server unfortunately).

So, do you have any suggestion on things to put in mind before doing so?

Regards,
Khalid

Make sure the consultant is only in the groups necessary to do the job.

You might also want to considering doing something with the user's .sh_history so you know what he has done.

He is in the staff group! and i've been watching the .sh_history file from time to time :)

But what about the rest of the directories that he can access?

Is there any supportive document that i can use to secure my server and to find out the doors and close them?

Regards,
Khalid
