VPN 3000 Concentrator Notification setup

Our Cisco VPN 3000 Concentrator went down over the weekend without a notification message.

What is the best method for setting up a ERROR notification with the Concentrator.

Our NT Admin left the company and we are picking up the pieces.

Any help would be nice.

The concentrator can send log messages and traps to another system, but if it just "goes down" it may not be able to do even that.

I'd add it to your network monitoring system. Have it pinged periodically to make sure it's up.
