I currently have 2 MSS's that are networked to a MN and a 3rd party vm system also networked to MN via VPIM. All users can communicate across to eachother. When sending from AVAYA to the 3rd party system, the user on the 3rd party system hears some clipping in the msg. this is not present in the reverse direction. 1 MM cluster is using GSM and the other G711. The remote machines on MN for both of those MSS are set for G610. What is a possible starting point to see where this is happening?

So both MM system's messages are clipping only when you hear them on the 3rd party system right ?

Does it occur on MM to MM? Also I would test the messages on the 3rd party system from outside as well as internal stations to see if it may be clipping on the set of that PBX.

I've seen some odd things on SIP phones like this.

Correct, when listening on the 3rd party system. Messages btwn mm and between the 3rd party are fine. These are all h.323 phones. The only glaring thing was mm cluster a is set as g711 in vmsc the other cluster is gsm and in MN these remote machines are both set for gsm610. Was thinking to change cluster a remote machine to g711 to match the MAS and the 3rd party sys.
