Handsets dont ring until second inbound ring, any ideas ? two 4-lind handsets connected, one CO line for testing currently conntected. Other phones are ringing first time, handsets connected to system dont ring until second ring on other phones (phones not connected to the system.)

VP408 Why doen't it recognize first inbound ring ? 1

Cannot really say for sure, but suspect that it has something to do with the way VP handles caller-ID by grabbing caller ID info and passing it on for the life of the call. Caller ID information is passed from the telco switch between the first and the second ring, therefore VP does not pass off the call until it has captured the caller ID information.
