VP206 Fax Resistor Fix

I understand that there is a fix to a resistor that makes fax detection more consistent. It is advertised as the "factory fix" or the "improved fax" model. Does anyone have information on this fix?

I am ordering another VP206 but WITH the Fax fix built in and going to compare it with the version I have that does not have the fax fix and will let you know of my findings. A freind is buying my old one....he does not need the fax to work but I do. I will keep you posted.
