Volume

my sound card works with a slight modifictation to the modules.conf but when ever i reboot the computer the volume is reset. is there any way that i can save the volume settings for the sound so that it stays the same on reboot?
i'm new to linux so it's a bit difficult to figure out.

Best would be posting this request to linux(client/desktop) as servers do not necessarily need sound cards...
I suggest trying alsaconf, it fixed my problem (same thing). regards
