I've configured Volume Shadow Copy on several 2003 servers but this last one isn't working. When I right-click properties on any drive and go to the Shadow Copies tab I get the following error:

Failed to retrieve volumes that are eligible for shadow copies

Error 0x8004230f: The shadow copy provider had an unexpected error while trying to process the specified operation.

I suspect this is because one of the drives is a TrueCrypt encrypted drive (the d drive only). This must somehow interfere with Volume Shadow Copy service, because I can't even open the shadow copy tab, let alone actually set up shadow copies on a non-encrypted drive.

In the Event Logs there are entries:

Any ideas on this?
