Volume Shadow Copy Timing out - 2003 server

I thought at first there was a problem with Backup Exec 10d, but I found out the Volume shadow service was just timing out, would anyone out there have a clue where I would even start to look for a possible reason for this?

This is on an OSX virtual server running Windows server 2003. Any help would be appreciated..

Firstly, I know nothing about your backup product. We use something else. VSS, however, has been the source of many headaches for us.

Here are some Microsoft hotfixes that you should look at:
887827
833167
826936

In addition, what service credentials do you configure in to the backup service?
