Hello,

I am having trouble with the TDM portion of my SV8500. when using speaker phone on the IP side the speaker is loud. when trying to use the speaker phone on the TDM side the speaker is muffled. i have already used the volue control on the instrument along with feature 2 to change the volume to large. i have made changes in artd, acrd, and dip switch settings on my IPPADA cards with no results. is there somewhere else i can look? for reference i am using MG-PRI units for my PRI's the only area i see an issue is when the PAD cards are involved. any input would be appreciated.

And if anyone can tell me wjat this statement means i would appreciate it... From the SV8500 command manual command APAD... When KIND=S (station) is designated, assign the dummy data to the parameter OGPAD.

So, if I understand you correctly, it's happening with TDM phones only. Is it Dterm (digital) phones, or analog phones? And only on the loudspeaker, but not on the handset? If it's only the speaker of the TDM phone that's giving you problem and no problem with handset, the only thing I can think of is loud office environment. Since the speakerphone is half-duplex and only allows one side to talk at a time (the louder side), if your office space (or wherever these phones are) is too loud, it may suppress the voice of the other side. I believe the loud-speaker on the IP phones are full-duplex (allows both party to talk at the same time) so you wouldn't have this problem.

yes the phones are dterm only and the trouble is more with the speaker than the handset however all TDM is significantly lower than the IP portion. i am going to go back over the settings in ACRD and give it another try. thanks for your reply.
