volume group migration

we're moving data from one storage to another.
Basically, exporting the VG, deleting the old LUNs, creating the new LUNs, restoring the VGs from backup.

Will this restore put thw raw logical volumes on the new disk(s) ?
 
Yes, it will, but why not migrate from one set of LUNs to another? extendvg, migratepv, reducevg...

constraints on the HBAs. Once it's all been backed up, they're rezoning the HBAs and switches, so connectivity to the old will be lost
