I am currently experiencing a problem when executive overriding another call. Specifically, I have an NEC NEAX 2000 IPS, when someone is on an external call (through an E1) and I override, the volume of the call drops considerably. From what I understand, doing an executive override is the same as establishing a 3 party conference call and from that I figured that the padding has to be adjusted on the trunk line. I believe it is CMD 3519 and 42 but dont fully understand the CMD and dont want to do anything wrong. How can I check what the padding is set for right now before changing anything? If I go to command 3519, it expects the setting data.
2. How can I find out what the current volume setting is for the NEC for internal phone calls?
Any help on this would be appreciated.

Thanks.

you say this occurs only on an overide function? yes this is the same as doing an 3 party conf? Have you tried three party conference to be sure that the problem is still there?

Changing the PAD levels will affect all like calls not just the ones you want to affect.

is this associacted to an ACD function also?
