We have a 2000IPS and when you do a 3 way conference with an ISDN line and another station in the switch the ISDN line is quite quiet compared to the other station. If you turn up the volume on your DTerm to hear the ISDN line you get blown away when the local station speaks. Any solutions?

This is normal each time you join someone to a conference the volume is reduced. If you isntall a conference card it will adjust for this.

is this the case with most inbound ISDN calls? being quiet that is? if this is the case you can change the PAD data to give the inbound leg of the ISDN call a boost.

Yes, this is the case with 99% of the inbound ISDN calls. I figured there was PAD data I could adjust. But without having done it before I hoped somebody could point me in the right direction.
Thanks,

Ok basic Pad Data info

CMD 3519>(Trunk Route)>0-7 will set your pad values to programmable or fixed 7 is default.

the next command on the list is CMD 42
now the 1st data for this is dependent on the value you placed in 2nd data in CMD 3519.

if CMD 3519 2nd data is 0 use 50 as the first data in 42
if CMD 3519 2nd data is 1 use 54 as the first data in 42
if CMD 3519 2nd data is 2 use 58 as the first data in 42
if CMD 3519 2nd data is 3 use 62 as the first data in 42

now that you have made it this far you will need to set second data for the boost.

03 is a -6Db receive gain (boost to inbound only)
04 is a -3 Send /-8 receive gain (boost to out bound and inbound)

so for example for trunk 10
CMD 3519>10>0 (set to programmable pad)
CMD 42>50>3 (set -6Db Gain)

Edit to the example

so for example for trunk 10
CMD 3519>10>0 (set to programmable pad)
CMD 42>50>03 (set -6Db Gain) <------ added the 0 to 03

Thanks, I have not tried making the change yet. I did check and all my lines are set to the default. This leaves a question, what is the default level? I don't want to make the change and then create a further problem.
