I've installed a BCM 400 4.0 with 1120&1140 phones.Trunking is two PRI's.The issue I'm having is two people call into the same conference bridge and they sit next to each other and are complaining of a one second delay.NO one else is complaining about this and we have tried digital and analog sets and get no delay so I'm ruling out PRI issue. Is there any setting in BCM that can resolve this? Hope someone can help before I call Nortel. Oh and all patches have been installed.

Is this only when they call into an external conference bridge? Or is it when they call each other and other people? Does it happen on BCM hosted conference calls?

Its a external call and when dialing internal theres no problem.

Doesn't sound like its an issue with the system or the phones. Probably a delay on the conference bridge. It doesn't happen on any other external calls though correct?

The delay happens only if two callers are next to each other.We tried to do are own conf and we still get delay.I'm at a lost with this one because I don't beleve its the system but like I said its fine with digital or analog phones.

You are dealing with IP phones. It takes longer for packets to be delivered so that is the delay. They are just going to have to live with it.

All phones have a delay and with 2 people sitting next to each other they will have a larger perception of the delay but the others on the conference will not notice anything because they can not hear or see the person talking except on the phone. You do get a delay with analog or digital phones it is just not as noticeable.

That what I've been trying to tell them but they just won't except it. Well these two users are going to have to go digital. Thanks for everyones feedback.

Have them call each other on their cell phones.. Show them the delay there. That should calm them down..
