I recently installed an IP Office 406 v1.3(34) on one site, Definity on another, and IP phones on the third site. The links were controlled by Cisco routers.
Just though I share this pain;
All was working fine, until after two weeks in service, the weekend before going live, I experienced the following two problems.
1. The Definity was unable to ping the IP Office. Hence calls to and from the IP Office were down. Whereas other devices on all networks were able to the IP Office. There was no firewall nor access list blocking the IP traffic. This was resolved by changing the IP Address of the IP Office.
2. The 406 decided NOT to boot up after a power down. There was no response on the DTE port. I know there's power going to the system as I had green lights on all the LEDs.
Any comments?
If at all possible, I would like to see a safe power down process. And the ability to ping directly from the IP Office.
If you have read the other threads, I still love the IP Office.
Cheers
