Hey guys having a problem with a 5 site system using frame connected via the wan port x21

After a day or so voice calls can not get through. BLF and phone manager is still working correctly but no voice & it doesn't hit the alternate route in LCR.

The only way to fix it is by rebooting the system. The carrier says the bandwidth is not even half utilized.

They are running a 412 DT main site and 403 DT's at the other sites all with 2.1 (15). I'm about to upgrade to 31 but not sure if this will fix the problem.

Any ideas?

On the wan settings of the services do you have the foloowing ticked?
Multilink QOS
Compession modes disabled?
Header compression VJ?

This would be required for multi site inconectivity...

Each site must have the unique line to each other and the line no to be the same at both ends?

What other data is going through the link, the wan is it connected directly to the IPO i s then you have QOS if not then the equipment between the ipo and the WAN may support QOS?

I'm using RFC1490 + FRF12 IPHC on the wan,dlci tab
I'm pretty sure it does not use the settings on the service if it is set to RFC1490 + FRF12 and IPHC

No data through the link, only voice and SCN

The frame access point is connected directly to the wan port

Could the VCM channels be locking up ?

Calls get automatically transfered through these link using voicemail pro

I didn't think that the line numbers had to be the same at either end. All the remote sites have line 10. The main site uses 11,12,13,14. Is this ok ?

Do you need to change any of the wan port settings ?

Currently Wan port speed 128000,Management type AnnexD (suit carrier), no frame learn mode, max frame length 1600 (should this be changed ?), frame link type rfc1490 + frf12, Tc 10, CIR 64000, EIR 0, IPHC on, TCP 16, UDP RTP 60 and all the advanced settings are standard aswell.

All the links are 64/128

Changed the lines to be the same id at each end.

Turned on VJ & Multilink (the manager help says that RFC1490 + FRF12 this overrides settings in the PPP tab of the service though)

I also noticed that i had not set the EIR to 64000 for bursting.

Changed the tc to 20 (just in case)

line setup G729a, enable fast start, fax transport, local hold music, local tones, out of band dtmf, voice networking all on

silent suppression and allow direct media path off

any more ideas welcomed

cheers
