I have Option 11C I go to LD 60 and
do SSCK and I get
IP DB PORT 0 DSBL
IP DB PORT 1 DSBL
IP DB PORT 2 DSBL
IP DB PORT 3 DSBL

SSCK 1 and I get
IP DB PORT 2 DSBL

How do I enable these ports.

There is only one clock controller in a normal Option 11. If you have two TMDIs in the switch the one with the clock controler will be the primary reference and the othe TMDI will be the secondary reference. You only need on clock controler to do this. I only one TMDI then only PREF is used.

If you have a surviable Option 11 cabinet with a TMDI in it, then a clock controller is required to be on that TMDI also.

I have 3 TMDI. I got DTI051 when I CC ENL 0 and DTI067 when I CC ENL 1.

Should I try swapping the clocks to see if they will inable.

The printout you showed is correct. You dont have to do anything. Everything looks good. I you must try clocking off the secondary reference. In ld 60 type TRCK SCLK and the reference will move to loop 2. It look perfect nothing to worry about. To return to primary reference type TRCK PCK and it will return to clock on 3

But why are my IP ports DSBL, I can't make any VOIP calls. How do I enable them?

That IP DB PORT 1 DSBL has nothing to do with VOIP trunks. That is only used when you have an expansion cabinet that is connected to the main cabinet with ethernet 100Base T or 100Base F fiber connectivity. It is ONLY used for expansion cabinets that have ethernet connectivity instead of the normal NORTEL fiber expansion cabinets.

What type of VOIP calls are you trying to make? Are they ITG trunk or ITG line calls? Post and I will see what it is. Will need more info about VOIP in you switch.

Nortel Meridian ITG-SA 32-Port Card VoIP NTVQ01BA. I don't know why but only 24 ports are programmed in the OTM. we were able to make calls to about 5 locations with BCM's. Last week we added 4 new locations in the OTM and now I get a busy when I try to call any site. when watching the Dch output this is what I get.

I added a BCM to a location in Orange Country FL and got the same thing. Come to find out the BCM was not programed correctly to accept the digits I had programed to go there. Are your TARG lines in the BCM correct? Are they assigned to phones in the BCM?

Did you add the new numbers into the dial plan of the ITG trunk card with the correct IP addresses for the BCMs. Are they programed in CDP LD 87? In the ITG dial plan do you have to delete any of the digits going to the BCMs or is the BCMs ready to accept 7 digits for the TARG lines?

Look at the dial plan in the ITG configuration of the OTM and make sure it is correct. In the OTM that you use to prgm the ITG trunk.

With the SWED in the dchl message, it tells me the BCMs are not programed correctly.

If you need help let me know and I will post my phone number and you can call me for help if needed. I am in Florida.

I had 5 working sites and I added 1 new site and it worked, 3 days later I added 4 more sites and now none of them work. The only thing I changed was adding 4 new sites the same as the others. So now I have 9 sites and none work.

PS: I live in FL also, but I'm working in Scottsdale, AZ.

I would still check the dialing plan in the 4 new sites. Make sure of the TARG and phones are pgmed correctly. Check and make sure the dial plan in the itg is set for h323 type trunks going to the BCMs.

I am ttrying to connect an opt 11c (rel 3) to a bcm in Dublin, I have set the codec payload value to 10 and can get calls bcm to meridian but noy meridian to bcm, even though the bcm sees the dch info, it does not establish a call. I think the problem is in the bcm but how do I prove this? any help appreciated

3 is TSC
dialing plan is 333
delete 3
I'm dialing 3332221
this was working until I added 2 other sites.

This is what I get when I try to dial any location.

In the one that I did, every time I got the DCH messages you posted, it was an error in the BCM that caused the problem. Once I fixed the dialing problem everything went ok.

Make sure the dial plan in each BCM is completely different from each other. Check the IP address of the BCMs and make sure they are not the same. Even though you are probably routing through a router, they cannot be the same IP address. In the dial plan of the ITG trunk make sure you delete the 3.

Does the BCM take all 7 digit 3332221 and is the TARG line set up to receive 7 digits? Are the new BCMs placed on the network has totaly diffrerent numbering plans?
