I have two BCM50's and I am trying setup udp between the two. Is there a 1,2,3 doc on how to make this happen. All the voip licenses are in place but I cant seem to get it to work.
Help please

You need to creat a access code that you will use to the other site and assign it a route.

when we call another sit we dialed the access code whcih was 6 and the DN of the phone and in the route we delete 1 and send the DN.

Use the BCM Monitor to watch what route and what digits are being sent to the other site.

This is a Signature and not part of the answer, it appears on every reply.

This is an Analogy so don't take it personally as some have.

Why change the engine if all you need is to change the spark plugs.

You also need to build the LOC IP addressso the Network knows where to send the call.

There is no VoIP networking BCM's for dummies book. There are courses and guides, but every site is different and you must understand the concepts and technology so that you can understand the nuances of your particular site.

Ace thanks for your help. I will reread my manuals and look for help else where, so that I can understand the nuances of other sites.

The steps are:

Build remote gateways
Build routes
Build dest codes
Test
Tweak
Say a prayer
Test more
Voila.

You can search the thread for a number of similar networking situations. Technicians mostly use CDP instead of UDP in H323 VOIP networking.Remember that there is a gateway destination code for the IP and there is the regular
destination code for the route.

The ultimate is not to use access codes, but to use a CDP. You need 4 digit ext. at both sites that are not in the same range. Magna has the outline.

Remote gateways are the IP address of the remote BCM50.
The routes should be the same at both ends. Pool C, grabs your VoIP trunks. Dest. codes should be the leading digits to your remote ext. #s. The dest code grabs pool C. Then you need a dest digit in VoIP trunking to go to the IP address or Remote Gateway of the remote BCM50.

What could be easier?
