I'm having a serious case of brain-fart-itis here...

2 X 400/3.7/fully patched (on a large private network with some Option 11's). One BCM has analog trunks, one PRI. Both have VoIP Gateways/Trunks and are on a CDP on the Private network.

I want to have BCM A, when placing a long distance call check BCM B to see if it's local there, and if so then grab a local PSTN to place the call. If not, then simply grab it's own PSTN and place the call. The reverse should be true with B and A.

Remote packages are set to allow these calls and the VoIP trunks are set to remote access the PSTN's, but I'm having a devil of a time with the call routing.

Any help would be appreciated.

TIA.

You will have to manually enter all the local codes for each BCM. you would have to break up your dial 9 access and also insure you have not stripped the 9 of on the call routing for the calls traversing the network accross to an other BCM.You need to check your public DN lengths and make sure there is nothing conflicting with 9.when you create the routes in call routing you will need to make sure you set them to public not private.

The only problem will be if all the line are busy at the remote site you will not get out. Again if the site is down you will not get out. You might want to look at using the night mode for routing and creating a few fall back routes.
