I know this license runs SIP or H.323 trunks, but will it run both at the same time? I ask because I have a customer that is requesting a couple of SIP trunk license but he has some VOIP license and using channels as H323 for networking to other BCM's. If he can do both then I'll just tell him to make a couple of channels SIP. I've used the license in the past but I've always used it for either SIP or H323 but never a mixture of both.

I think it work like this:
SIP Trunk code opens up (or allow) SIP programming
Voip Trunks opens up (or allow) SIP and H323 programming
If you have 2 SIP and 2 Voip...
SIP calls will use up to 4 Voip trunks
Voip call will use up to 2 Voip trunks
You can use them simultaneously
On BCM50
I think we had an issue when 12 Voip and a few SIP so removing the SIP codes helped since you can only go up to 12 Voip trunks in total anyway.

VoIP (H.323) Keycodes will allow BOTH VoIP (H.323) AND SIP trunks. SIP keycodes will allow ONLY SIP. Being an ex-Nortel Tech Support and Pre-Sales Engineering, I am confident in this answer, and I don't think anything has changed.

ucxguy thanks, I know it will do either but will it allow for you to configure both. I've worked on the BCM in the past with the VOIP code activated but they were running either SIP or H323 and not both protocals at the same time. So I guess really the question is if I got an 8 channel VOIP code could I set 4 up for H323 and 4 up for SIP?
Yes, you should be able do both. It is all in how the actual trunks are set up and programmed.
