Hello all, I have a customer who has two BCM 50's that are tied together via VoIP trunks. One of the sites has access to PSTN via PRI, but the other does not. Can someone walk me through how to setup the site with no PSTN access to be able to access the PSTN through the other site? I have read that I need to setup remote access packages, but I have never done this, so I am at a loss. Any help?

Go to remote access package 01 add pool/bloc/pri a or what ever you are dialing out on. Go to the lines your using make sure rem pkg 01 is assigned to the lines.Put in dest code and route.make phone call.

I finally got this to work. I had my remote access package set correctly, but I did not have the destination digit of "9" in my non PSTN BCM where the nine acts as the PSTN access to the other BCM 50. Example: Route 001 VoIP(private), Destination code 9A absorb 0. This will route you over the VoIP trunks and then to the PSTN. Also I had to change my private DN length on my non-PSTN BCM to 12 to allow for 10 digit dialing and LD.

Instead of changing the Private length to 12 you could make a new route to the same VoIP pool, but make the route National and your 9 dest code points to that route.
