Hi ...

How can I enable VOIP security without IP Phones be down?
The IPO is Rls 10, and the IP phones is 1608 and 1616 and all have latest firmware.
This step is pre-request when IPOCC 10 deployment. and I think this will cause the announcement not working and return busy tone when dialing topic.

1600 phones don’t support voip security. IPOCC should work without VoIP security, too.

Thanks, then I should find another reason why this disconnection occurs.
VOIP Security set to disabled not affect this.

Perhaps IPOCC CHAP is set to use security while IPO is not.

As you mentioned above in IPO when VOIP Security is disabled this not affect.
From Where can I disable security in the IPOCC CHAP ?

This lets me think the SIP extension is not registered.

So basic troubleshooting steps:
- check if IPOCC is registered as SIP endpoint with IPO
- if yes check if you can call a topic internally
- if you can call but get dad air check compatibility of RTP settings
- if you call but call is rejected check if you address the IPOCC topic correctly

I am not an IPOCC tech but if you are those first troubleshooting steps should be done without any help by yourself. If you are not an IPOCC tech - call one!

CHAP settings should be documented well enough. Monitor logs in IPO should tell you what happens. IPOCC is kind of a Toolbox where every single tool does part of the whole job. You have to understand all the tools that work together to be able to work with IPOCC. If you are not attend a training or hire someone who knows IPOCC better.
