Hi,
I have BCM400 in our corporate HO. I would like to ask your advise on the following.
I need to enable the Voip with this. I have faster internet connection and i prefer to trim the long distance calls establishing VOIP. Please let me know what are the requirements. And from where i have to start. Do you any guys have this type of setup?

I appreciate your help

You need to check out the existing licences for the BCM to see if you have any V.O.I.P.Trunks etc. If not, then you will need to obtain them from a reseller via revised keycodes.

Programming will be required to connect the system with your main office.

If it's working, then leave it alone!.

Thanks for your quick reply.
I have to order the VOIP trunk. I Hope this system supports the VOIP? Nothing required except the keycode, right? a Public IP or whatever related to this?

Are there any helpful documentation on how to setup the VOIP on this system?

Thanks again

All BCM's support V.O.I.P. It just depends on the protocal required. You may want to purchase 2 trunks to get your keycodes updated. Make sure that you have your system site ID.

There are loads on documentation on the Nortel website. You can register for free and obtain the NTP's. You can even download some very good step by step ITEL guides for the BCM 400 / 50 versions.

I'm no totaly sure but I think that the VOIP trunks are between like networks (offices) so you can call over your network to another location to make the call.It does not support using VOIP on the internet to meke calls.

Actually I was asking about the VOIP internet call to anywhere in the world through my BCM400. I have little idea about the site to site ip trunk in the BCM.

I would like to have the information about the VOIP through internet..

Thanks
