Hi,

I'm new here - hope this is the right forum.

I've been tasked with looking into the VoIP protocol that Nortel use.

Can anyone give me any pointers? I believe it uses Unistem for signalling (any details out there?) and I presume it uses RTP for data transfer?

Thanks in advance,

Simon

You are correct. Currently, all trunk assignments are H.323 and or SIP, but in the near future, all trunks are going to SIP only. I cannot say on the phone side. Check the Nortel web site for technical documents on their VoIP products.

There are several posters here using Nortel and other VoIP providers, so this is a great place to start.

Good luck!!

Hope this helps,

Scott M.
