VOIP phone causing problems with web developers...

Does anyone know of problems being caused by the Cisco IP phone's apparent use of "Localhost" ?
My web developers are having problems with their apps because they also need to use the "Localhost" for their output..

Any help would be truly appreciated.

When the web developer starts up his Cisco Softphone it blocks anything that has to do with "localhost" which is causing problems with his webapps that also use Localhost...

is there any way to change that?

are you using softphone or IPcommunicator? Two different things so just to make sure which one.
