Hello
We have a Definity and would like to intergrate that system with exchange 2007 and place some IP Phones on the system. I am not sure what parts are required in the Definity ( c-lan) we have. But do we need a Medpro card and IPSI card? The documention we have states a couple of diferent options so we want to besure

In addition to the C-LAN board you will need a MedPro (TN2302) and the appropriate RTU. I'm not sure if you can still purchase RTU for a V9.

R9 wasn't even IP enabled fully, it wasn't until R9.5 that some of that started to work. You are most likely going to have to upgrade that, to do anything real with it.

lol....He stated R10 anyway. R9.5 did add a lot of IP stuff like CDR and SAT but R8.3 supports VOIP softphones and R8.4 supported hardphones. While the IP phones worked a bit differently on R8, they actually worked well. I agree the licenses may be the more expensive part to get R10 Ip enabled if it does not currently.

I don't even think they are offering additional licensing on very old switches, they really, really want you to upgrade.... I started on R9, it couldn't do squat. R9.5 added IP administration etc. Still, the IP phones supported back then where crude, 4606/4612/4624, no modern IP phones are supported.

Thank you all we are thinking of only a few IP phones in some remote office's and they most likely would be the older ones the main reason is to have the exchange working and some soft phones to sell our bosses on the s8400
