Hi,

looking to install VOIP logger fro multisite and looks like the CLS need to SPAN all the CLAN of the PBX where the telephone need to register...
problem is that nice is not located in the same room as all the CLAN making the SPAN inpossible on few board. so I can't sniff the traffic of some board..

Nice come back to me that they cannot do anything... and we need to check with CISCO for vlan rspan which is only available with catOS and 4xxx or 6xxx series which we do not have....

I propose nice to remove the DHCP but seems they are not suporting fix ip address with selective call recording and free seat...

any idea or anyone already implementing this kind of VOIP logger with AVAYA facing the same issue...

David

why cant you just rspan the port?

Merry non denominational winter festival!!!

Yes you can do fixed IP recording in Free Seating environment but it means you require a channel per IP Address (Extension) you want to record. I don't see how changing from DHCP to Fixed IP is going to help though?

we do not have the functionnaliyt on our CISCO switch for rspan...

from nice they said that the CLAN spanning is to make the link between IP and extension of the telephone. that's why i was thinking about fixed IP registration and then populating a Database in the CLS server..
