I have two offices, both with BCM50s installed.

One is running v 1.00.2.04.j
The other is v 2.0.2.05e

I applied all available patches over the weekend.

I have my CDP set up, and it is working. Dialing a 3-digit extension for the other office causes the target set to ring, but when you answer it there's no sound on either end.

After a recent test, I got a critical alarm on the v2 system that said there was a Transport Mismatch.

My settings are as close to identical between the two systems as I can get them - the only thing that doesn't exactly match up is under GW Type.

On the v1 system, GW Type has options for BCM36, BCM35, BCM30 and BCM25.

On the v2 system, it lists BCM or BCM35 only.

I tried the 35 setting on both ends, and it failed, so I'm using BCM36 on the first one and BCM on the second one.

Any help to point out what I'm missing would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Mike ...
The 1.0 should be set for BCM3.6.
The 2.0 should be set for BCM.
The gateway protocol for both should be CSE.

Double check all of media parameters/H323 media parameters.
They need to match up exactly.

Thanks for the quick answer... I didn't have the GW Protocol set, do now.

It's still not working, and I just found entries in my router log showing:

H.323_NAT: partial packet 2377053356/6 in 6035/6563

Not sure what to make of it yet, but partial packets on h.323 doesn't sound good, and may be causing my problem.

Back to the reasearching I go...

The router update fixed the problem, and communication is flowing between both sites now. THANK YOU SupportDude!
