Hello all!

Just looking for some advice really we have an overseas link with 2MB link for data but we can use 9 channels for voice.
The switch we have in the main office is Ericsson MD110 & in the oversea site we have a Mitel switch. I want to find out what options are available:
We are not going to change the switch in our overseas-too expensive call volumes wont not merit this.
We do not want the users to have 2 different handsets in the overseas to take calls-1 IP 1 digi.
Also they would not want to use skype type set up with mic plus headset.
Is there any of using way of using the available bandwith between 2 sites allowing calls to terminate on the mitel handset in the overseas.
Hope this is clear any ideas??

thanks

Mack

Multi-tech and other manufacturers make voip gateways that would fill your needs. They would plug into an available trunk and/or station port to allow you to dial between systems via the IP link.

engage wendors for both products -

more than likely a voip card option for Ericsson to allow an IP trunk to Mitel.

I think the IP card for the MD110 is called the BP250....

Take Care

Matt
