voip firewalls and vpn

i am trying to use voip across adsl using a vpn then through a pix firewall the we are having is the setup of the call is fine but there is no voice.Will a firewall stop vpn traffic as i believe voip uses dynamic udp port ranges of 49000 to 53500 can any help.Thanks

if you get call setup but no voice you prob have a routing issue.. Can you ping from phone to phone? Not from both phones to CCM. but end to end phone to phone.

the voice is usually using ports higer than 16,384.
what is the voice protocol that you are using?

thank you all for your replies it now turns out the ip office is not using the ip address given by the vpn but returning traffic to the ip address the isp gave the router when it dialed up
