Does anyone know of a device you can install between a fax machine and an "analog" VoIP line or Ethernet port that will increase the reliability of faxes. The VoIP network we are connected to does NOT act as a T 38 gateway so this issue is getting very tough to solve. I have tried finding a stand alone device (that does not require using a service) that will capture a fax and then convert it into a reliable analog stream for legacy fax machines, but I have had no luck in finding one. Please help!

How about a simple Linksys ATA? Register it up as a SIP endpoint to the PBX and plug the FAX into the alog port.

SPA2102 will support T38 on 1 port
I think its replacement the SPA122 will suppport 2 ports of T38

If I never did anything I'd never done before , I'd never do anything.....
