hi all
2 questions re voip setup on a tda system
1st the info
i have a customer who is changing their systems 4 in total
the first system will be a KXTDA 100
2nd system will be a KXTDA30
3rd system will be a KXTDA30
4th system will be a KXTDA30

now the customer wants to link all sites with voip
question 1
is it posible to do this from tda100 to a tda30?
these are the cards and types over here (just incase they are different over there.)

KX-TDA 3480 4 X CHANNEL VOIP CARD TDA 30
KXTDA 0470 16 CH VOIP EXT CARD
KXTDA 0490X 16 VOIP LINE CARD
KXTDA 0484X 4CH VOIP TRUNK CARD
PBX GATEWAY IP GATEWAY CARD
KXTDA 0920X SD CARD V2.0 ENHANCED UPGRADE

question 2 what cards do i need to do this job
any info would be great.
and yes i did complete the voip corse will be able to setup no problem but cant remember what each card does (getting old now )

thanks peter

Yes you can do it
KX-TDA 3480 for the TDA 30's
Kx-TDA 0490 for the TDA100

This will give you 4 VoIP tie lines from each TDA30 this is the Max VoIP lines that a TDA 30 can handle

do you think i would be better off putting in a tda100 on all the sites?

if you need more than 4 tie lines between sites then yes
have a look at the calling rates

they do need more than 4 tie lines between sites so i will use the 4 tda100 with gateway cards in each.

also do you happen to know ..using the gateway cards can i have a central voicemail ?

peter over here panasonic only supports you if
you use multitech vpn tunnels between sites!

If you network properly and have a unifed numbering plan then you should be able to have a central VM but i have never tried this ask the Local Panasonic Tech support to be sure
