We are using voipmonitor (voipmonitor.org) for call recording, and we have noticed most (but not all) g729 encoded calls are not actually recording.
Wireshark confirms the packet stream exists, and some of the calls record just fine, and the call metadata is correctly captured, but no codec conversion to audio is made.
at a bit of a loss where to look next (yes, chasing up the vendor) - can anyone think of any codec specific differences to go looking for?
