We use Adtran TA900 series to take Ethernet SIP trunks and convert them to analog trunks.

The problem we are having is some older key systems do not produce strong enough or long enough DTMF tones to break dial tone on these "analog" trunks. I have even seen where these trunks will work on just certain ports of a key system trunk card and not others. Yet these ports worked on the old bell trunks before they switched service.

Does anyone have any ideas what settings to change in the Adtrans to eliminate this problem???

What "older" key switches are you using, specifically? Using SIP trunks, I've def had to alter the DTMF signaling settings on some KSU's to allow them to break tone.

Also, who is your SIP provider?
