Hi everone,

Can you help?

I've a IPO 412 (ver 3.0.59) and a Ciscp PIX firewall that connects to another office.

Now, the VPN tunnel is permanent (Cisco router to Cisco PIX). I can ping the IPO from the remote location via the VPN...so far so good!

But, when I launch Phone Manager and try to select the VoIP extension I've created, I get nothing. No names appear in the username field, just above the 'PBX address' filed.

I've tried everything I can think of...anyone else have this kinda problem, and what could I do to try to get it working?

Thanks

Yep, the VCM is installed and up and running, it's working too, as I've tested on our LAN.

Just can't get Phone Manager to do it's bit over the VPN, strange one.

several threads have been posted abaout Cisco PIX.
Just search for PIX.

You have to check "Confirm IP Adress" under the "Audio Codec" tab in PhoneManager settings.

If this doesn't work you have more work in your PIX :)

Thanks for that. Never even considered to search fpr PIX.

And guess what, it works, well, it works one way, I think a little more tweaking and I'll have it nailed!

Thanks loads

G!

Make sure you run the avaya batch file if the pc has xppro with sp2. The batch file will open holes in the windows firewall. There is a techtip on this. This could be the problem....
