We have an old Meridian System we are in the process of replacing. The operators are using a "PRS 150 Voice Announcer" Q-Voicesaver Clear Concise Consistent. The operator phones are being replaced with Polycom phones. I am interested to know the setup of these devices. Does anyone out there know the workings of these and how they terminate or connect to the console. We have some photos but the connections are not clear. I can tell you there is a unit with 4 buttons 1-4 which I suspect is the number of recordings they can have. There is another device which is the main "recorder". This has the 2 pronged audio input for recording. On this unit there is a sliding switch for either play or record. I am told that when they answer a call they press one of the 4 buttons, this will play the recording, hi you have reached xxx name, and goodbye and thankyou for choosing xxx etc. Saves them repeating the same announcement time and time again during the day. Does it connect through the line cord and also use the handset, is it line powered or separate power. It does state if power is lost the recording will be lost. Old. Cant seem to find any info or an alternative. Any info would be great.
Thanks in advance.
