Hi guys, i am running VM Pro in IP Office mode.

I have an incoming call route going to a huntgroup.

The hunt-group has a Day Service Time profile called Working Hours (Mon-Fri 09:00 to 17:00).

It works and goes to voicemail... but it plays the user extension prompt(where it asks to say your name when you first setup the mailbox) first, followed by the IP Office one of "there is no one available to take your call at the moment so please leave a message after the tone".

What I would like is a seamless recorded message "Thank you for calling widgets inc, we are closed please leave a message" and then for it to go straight to voicemail without any IP Office prompts!

Any idea for the above please?

As TTT indicates, the default greeting is used until you record something else.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

Sorry, I should have said the other half of the story.

I had setup VM Collect to the ?Huntgroup

And recorded the message, before I could go any further as soon as I had entered the mailbox number and PIN it prompted me to say my name (which I did).

I then press option 8 to hear the help menu, I press option 3 to edit my greeting.

It then says i have 4 greeting messages! Regular, Out of Office, and two others which i cant remember (i think waiting, and continuing to wait messages).

I set the recording for Regular and Out of Office mode but neither play - sure i am doing something wrong but bashing head for 2 hours cant see what.

Thanks, does the same apply as I am running VM Pro?

OK, so here are the full details, pulling my hair out as do this all time time with embedded voicemail (and VM Pro with IP Office seems the same interface):

1) I setup the huntgroup called Main1
2) I setup an incoming call route 4231368 to the Main1 group
3) I setup Voicemail collect on a shortcode 299, and VM Collect => ?Main1
4) Setup another incoming call route 4231399 (as testing from outside) to dial 299 (the shortcode) - this works I get connected OK
4) I login to Main1 VM with the correct passcode (if it wasnt Main1 it wouldn't let me in right?!)
5) I hit option 3, record messages for both Normal Greeting and Out of Hours Greeting. I confirm they are recorded
6) I set Main1 fall back Mode to Night Service
7) I call in on 4231368, neither of the prompts recorded on step 5 play

At a loss, hope i am doing something stupid - screenshots to confirm the below

The last screenshot is where I have dialled in to both the VM collect and the hutngroup at the same time, i see there is #Main1 and ?Main1 - presume this means one is a collect and the other is leaving a message?

Have you done anything in the Leave action for this HG?

I usually don't let the HG do the closing, but rather have ICR control the gates.
Outside business hours, calls hit a module testing for overrides, VIP, colleagues, etc.
Then the appropriate message is played, depending on the day of the week.

I prefer using ICR because it also keeps the HG open for internal calls,
If someone calls in 2 min before closing and ends up in the wrong department, they may still transfer after closing.

Kind regards

Gunnar

@derfloh please excuse the silly question, what is the difference between #Main1 and ?Main1, and how do I get it to go to the right mailbox? Is this something to do with mailbox on the SD card and mailbox on the VM PRO?

@Gunnaro no it is as default, I did also try and create a entry point Leave for that huntgroup and for it to play a wav file but this was never hit.

#Main1 and ?Main1
One is voicemail collect. One is voicemail leave.

No more monkeys jumping on the bed.

Thanks for clarifying, so in the screenshot I have hit #Main1 and ?Main1 at the same time to confirm I was going to the correct mailbox.

I had setup the greeting previously (general, and out of hours) but even when the voicemail leave is hit i don't hear the message.

Could this be a bug with Avaya or a bug in my brain?!

Copy the mc_00 and put it in the names folder.
Rename it to the group name.
Now you won't hear the extension part anymore.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

@tlpeter, I never got to the bottom of why the huntgroup did not work, so i made a new virtual user, replaced the name with the blank as you kindly suggested, set the recording and boom all working. Thank you now it is running and taking messages in an acceptable way.

There is a bug is 9.1.2 with night group messages in IP Office mode VM Pro. If you upgrade to 9.1.3 the issue is sorted.
